After being nomadic for 5 years you start craving a sense of home. Being nomadic gives you the grand opportunity of experiencing all of your favorite destinations, expanding your mind, and connecting with inspiring individuals from different cultures. These are all the reasons why I love nomadic life, but after traveling for so long, you start feeling like you don’t belong anywhere in the world. You belong everywhere in the world.
Traveling full-time is fun and simultaneously exhausting. Having a home base is crucial to feel grounded and develop stronger interpersonal relationships. As a nomad you start craving home, but the decision to set roots in one place when your heart and life are split between multiple places is crippling. Going back to a traditional lifestyle is often not an option for nomads, but staying in perpetual movement is also not sustainable. That’s when having multiple homes comes into play – allowing you to split your time between the world’s best cities, commitment free. This has become my goal, and that of many nomads like me, for a next stage in nomadic life.
Oasis Passport understands the struggles of nomadic life and provides a solution for this desire to have multiple home bases. Instead of either signing a long-term lease or being doomed to live at other people’s homes through Airbnb, Oasis Collections has created a housing subscription model that allows you to switch between the world’s greatest cities, all while paying one same rental fee.
Oasis Passport is the solution I wish had existed years ago, and even a housing model I thought of as I struggled to find that perfect balance between having a home and living in different places. Oasis Passport allows you to move to a new location without having to go through the struggles of starting over again in a new city. Instead of going through the apartment hunting process each time, you simply transfer over to another Oasis apartment in your new home city.
Oasis apartments are located in the best neighborhoods in each city, are fully furnished and equipped for even long-term living, are clean and modern, have high-speed WiFi for seamless remote working, and come with a concierge service so that you’re taken care of regardless of which city you call home at the moment.
I had the opportunity to stay at one of the Oasis Passport properties in Miami, and I immediately felt at home. The apartment is beautifully furnished, equipped, and spacious, in a modern building full of lifestyle amenities like a pool, gym, lounge, and even coffee house downstairs. The Oasis apartment felt more like home than even my own home, which my nomad brain has refused to fully furnish for the mere fact that I can’t come to terms with the idea of calling just one location “home.”
Subscription housing is changing the apartment rental game by allowing nomads, creatives, entrepreneurs, and anyone who has the ability to work remotely, to switch between several locations per year. Instead of signing a traditional one year lease which locks you down to one location, Oasis Passport allows you the freedom to live month-to-month.
Imagine being able to let your spontaneous side out, and move to Barcelona for the 3 months of European summer, then heading to Buenos Aires for Spring in the Southern Hemisphere, and to Miami for winter (aka imagine not needing to experience winter). Better yet, imagine being able to do this without having to worry about finding a place to stay with modern furniture, fast wifi, and in an ideal neighborhood. With Oasis Passport you can have this, saving you tons of hours of research and ripping your hair out trying to find an apartment that doesn’t feel like grandma’s home and doesn’t break the bank.
As the next stage in nomadic life, Oasis Passport opens up a world of possibilities, combining the best of both worlds: the thrill of exploration and the warmth of having multiple places to call home. For nomads like me, this is the ultimate goal—a harmonious blend of adventure, stability, and comfort. If you’re a fellow wanderer seeking to create a life less ordinary, Oasis Passport might just be the key to unlock the boundless horizons of your nomadic journey. Happy travels!
